Southend Shoot
We had to rearrange our shoot for the following day so that our actress Becky was able to attend. the weather was pretty similar although allot colder which made it hard to operate the camera which intern affected framing however the backdrop was a lot more dramatic due to the heavy clouds etc making for more emotional footage.

Weather report: Southend Seafront
This is the weather report for Saturday. we will be filming between the times of 12:00 and 3:00 this is the perfect time as the slightly overcast conditions will allow us to pic up detail in the sky as well as on the subject. hopefully as the day progresses we will be able to to shoot some more saddened darker shots as the sky become more overcast. this will help to create the sombre mood we are trying to portray in our music video.

Filming: Southend on sea
Me and Shelley are planning to film at Southend on sea this weekend. we are hoping to gets some footage of the sea front and the pier as well as some footage of the fun fair, were hoping to possible be aloud into the empty fair although we haven't been able to get in to contact with security prior to our shoot so it is unlikely we will bget the opportunity. we have also invited the former student Rebecca Boniface along as she has acting and filming experience and will feature in the video as well as film the parts where both Shelley and i have to be in frame.

Filming: Cotton Wool Clouds
Today we filmed the lip syncing in front of the cotton wool clouds using a pastel pink backdrop. we initially tried with Shelley stood in front of the set but after a few attempts we decided to take the set down and arrange it on the floor so that Shelley could have her spread out across the clouds whilst she lay on them giving a more dreamy, intimate effect. we managed to get through the whole song lip syncing, Shelley did incredibly well to keep her focus on the lens of the camera, despite me treading on her foot by accident at one point....

Working with Animals
In our music video we plan to be filming some shots with rabbits and guinea pigs in relation to the positive elements of the song . when working with animals we have to consider their welfare. many animals are stressed easily, and although rabbits and guinea pigs are less susceptible to stress than reptiles it is still a factor to consider, so it is important to monitor how long they are filmed and handled, making sure they are comfortable. to aid this we are going to film them im an environment they are used to. also it is important not to work them to hard to avoid them getting tired or worn out.
we plan to only shoot a maximum of 5 minutes at a time to avoid stressing out the animals. in addition to this we will introduce the filming equipment to the environment prior to filming to give the animals time to adjust to the new objects.

Costume:
After selecting our locations we have decided to put together costumes to that will work with the colors in the environment. one of our favorite locations is by a berry bush located in east-brook end country park. the red berries are beautiful and so we are planning to try to pick up this distinctive color very simply and subtly in the outfit.

Creating a Set
one of the ideas we came up with for a setting for some footage was to have some sort of back drop with cotton wool clouds, with Shelley lip syncing rigidly like some sort of puppet. the concept is quite obviously childish and nostalgic and so fits well with the feel of the lyrics. so today we set about making the cotton wool clouds. we cut out very unrealistic and cloud shapes with exaggerated curves much like a child's drawing then stuck cotton wool over the cardboard before taping thick string to the backs and hanging them from each other. they look wonderful, like some sort of old puppet display.
