Our Finished Music Video!

today the video was finally uploaded to youtube, unfortunately when converted into a quicktime format ready for uploading the sound quality has been significantly reduced, we have tried to correct this but we just cant seem to find what it is that is causing the problem.

Editing: Final Edit

Today i began my final edit of our music video, making a few adjustments to timing and a few transitions as well as the final color edit of all the footage. me and shelley are ecstatic to finally be finishing our music video and we are both incredibly happy with the final piece, to say it has been exhausting is an understatement, and as creative, artistic individual i find it very hard to be completely happy with the work i produce but we both feel that we have gotten to the point that anymore would simply retract form the video.

Digipak:interior - work in progress

We are just trying to find something to go onto the center interior panel now, we've had a few ideas such as putting another lyric in the space, but that may be a little to much. one idea that we really like is putting a silhouette of a fun fair there, so now im going to attempt to draw it using Photoshop, wish me luck...

Editting: Coming Togehter

Today i spent 2hrs in the media room editing our music video, it was incredibly exhausting but definitely worth it as it is all starting to fall into place, we seem to have managed to get enough lip syncing to fill the song with out there being to many gaps and now we are starting to fill the gaps with filler shots etc.

Analysis theory

Questions on how media texts effect us and why they have an impact on the audience?

1. Why do audiences choose to consume certain texts?
2. How do they consume texts?
3. What happens when they consume texts?

A Model of The Media

There are three theories of audience that we can apply to help us come to a better understanding about the relationship.
There are..
1. The Effects Model
2. The uses and Gratifications Model
3. Reception Theory

The Effects Model
The Hypodermic model is like a drug , the information which is usually negative is pumped through the brain, it is syringe like where the audience is addicted doped and duped.

Digipack: Work in Progress

Shelley and i have been working together to create the digipack. so far we have completed the outside skin and now are focusing our concentration on the interior. The outside consists of a front and back cover, the back with the track listing produced using a hand written font from 'dafont.com' as well as a bar-code and record company logo. The front was also composed using photoshop using two images, the first of shelley and the second of a highly edited macro shot of bubbles, overlayed over the top of the first. the front cover also includes the name of the artist 'Charlotte Webster' and the name of the album 'Simon.'

We are still unsure on what imagery will be used to complete the interior of the digipak, we are considerring using a still taken from the video where shelley is singing next to a bush of red berries. another possible still shot we could use is a shot from southend where seagulls flew in fron tof the camera. the part of the interior that we have completed is the disc pannel, we have taken the orgional image of shelley and used it for the cd print. we initialy attempted to include another image behind but we decded that a simple black panel is much more affective as it allows concentration to be held on the disc image .

Photoshop: Digipak

Today in our media lesson me and shelley started to put toghether the digipak. the front panel and the image for the back panel we had already created and so we imported them and positioned them onto the template. then using 'dafont' we selected the font 'sabrina' for the track listing and arranged them onto the back panel.
