Song Lyrics

Pour me another drink, we’ll sit for a while
You tell me how much you love me,  How much you love me,
Draw up another part, a part of your soul, your life’s goal

Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now
Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now

Obsession until perfection,  but no one can see how big your heart can be,
Your love of life, your love of death and everything in between

Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now
Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now

They see dark but you see beauty, in the strangest places,
 And empty spaces

Pour me another drink we’ll sit for a while, I’ll tell you how much I love you,
 How much I love you

Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now
Simon, Simon don’t you give up now, don’t you give up, don’t you give up now

You’ll find your place someday with the unicorns and candyfloss
Together we’ll play, play

Alike Artists

Regina Spektor

regina spektor, like our chosen artist charlotte webster, explores and romanticises imagination within her music, taking simple everyday ideas and beautifully turning them into magical empathetic pieces.

Bon Iver

Bon Iver's music is striped down acoustic and extremely emotional and atmospheric like that of charlotte websters and similarly has a very gradual progression in texture.

Music Video Ideas

me and my partner shelley have come up with a few ideas between us as to what we could do for our music video.
Settings
  • we would like to do some filming outside, in the rain and in a forrest, this natural envoronment will work well with the acoustic style of the song.
  • 'get stuffed' a taxidermy shop in islinghton filled with beautiful taxidermy, linking with the lyric 'they see dark and you see beauty, in the stranges places....'
Props

  • carboard and cotton wool clouds hangign form string on cardbouard set
  • alcohol, part of the chorus talks about drinking
  • guitar
Things to Include
  • road kill, again linking to the lyric about dark and beauty
