Digipack: Work in Progress

Shelley and i have been working together to create the digipack. so far we have completed the outside skin and now are focusing our concentration on the interior. The outside consists of a front and back cover, the back with the track listing produced using a hand written font from 'dafont.com' as well as a bar-code and record company logo. The front was also composed using photoshop using two images, the first of shelley and the second of a highly edited macro shot of bubbles, overlayed over the top of the first. the front cover also includes the name of the artist 'Charlotte Webster' and the name of the album 'Simon.'

We are still unsure on what imagery will be used to complete the interior of the digipak, we are considerring using a still taken from the video where shelley is singing next to a bush of red berries. another possible still shot we could use is a shot from southend where seagulls flew in fron tof the camera. the part of the interior that we have completed is the disc pannel, we have taken the orgional image of shelley and used it for the cd print. we initialy attempted to include another image behind but we decded that a simple black panel is much more affective as it allows concentration to be held on the disc image .

Photoshop: Digipak

Today in our media lesson me and shelley started to put toghether the digipak. the front panel and the image for the back panel we had already created and so we imported them and positioned them onto the template. then using 'dafont' we selected the font 'sabrina' for the track listing and arranged them onto the back panel.

Magazine advert: Past Students Work Analysis

Shelley and i decided to look at some work produced by past students in order to see what can be done and what we could try to change or alter when producing our own Magazine advert.

This looks to be quite a successful simple magazine advert. the simplistic design and composition, the artist is introduced in an intriguing format, as the audience can not see the whole image but jsut part of it through a tree cut out creating a sense of mystery drawing attention. however the poster does seem to be a little to similar to a film poster in terms of composition for my liking as it is  slightly confusing until you read the line 'includes the single shadows.' However the choice of color and the inclusion of a star rating seems to work well and is something me and shelley would like to include in our own Magazine advert.
